Compact digital cameras - what to ask before you buy
1. How many megapixels do I need in a compact digital camera?
The more megapixels you have, the larger you can print photos without loss of quality. These days, you probably wouldn't buy a new digital camera with less than 6 megapixels, which will allow you to easily print up to A4. Obviously if you plan to print your photos bigger than that, you'll need more megapixels.
Having more megapixels also means you can crop your photo and still have a lot of 'quality' in the image.
