6. Does the compact digital camera have auto focus?

Auto focus is standard. Some cameras allow you to override the auto focus and set the focus manually instead. This is handy, for example, if you want to focus on something at the edge of the photo instead of the centre.

Often manual focus is as simple as pressing the shutter button half way when the subject is in focus, then moving the camera to frame the photo correctly before pressing the shutter button down completely.
