Dishwashers - what to ask before you buy
3. What about installation of the dishwasher?
Ask if the model you like is built-in and/or free-standing.
Free standing models can often have a tap adaptor (purchased separately) so that the machine doesn't have to be plumbed in. You just connect it to your sink tap when you want to run the dishwasher.
Built-in models will require a plumber, for connection to the water supply and drainage.
