2. What resolution flat screen tv should I buy?
HD (high definition) tvs will make the most of the digital television signal. The quality of the picture varies with the price. If you go for the top of the line HD (1080p), depending on how far you sit from the tv, you may not notice the difference between it and the lesser resolution models (e.g. 720p). You can sit closer to a plasma of the same screen resolution without noticing pixelation, however as most people sit at least 2-3 metres from the tv, it's probably not worth paying for the privilege of sitting very close to the screen.
